Ce sta nu fuoco ainto
Ca abbrucia pe te
Nu fuoco cchiù forte d''o Vesuvio
E che nun se pò cuntené!

Se dice ca te voglio bene assaje
Nun è abbastanza
Stu fuoco 'e ammore ca abbrucia
Rinto a me, pe te

Sta distanza me distrugge
E 'o ssaccio ca me vuo'
Ma senza te puté tucà
Me sento 'mpazzí

Sta chiamata d''a natura
Nun se pò ignurà
Te sento vicina assaje
Pure se nun staje ccà!

Stu core ca pepetea comm'a nu rraù
Te sfruculea e te dice:
"Tuòccame, siente stu fuoco,
Appícceme sti fiamme e nun me scurdà"

Dimme ca me vuo' bene assaje
E che me vuo' tucà
Accussí m'addurmento sereno
C''o pensiero 'e te vasà

English Translation

The Fire Within

There is a fire within
That burns for you
A fire stronger than Vesuvius
And one that cannot be contained!

They say "I love you so much"
But it isn’t enough
This fire of love that burns
Inside of me, for you

This distance destroys me
And I know that you want me
But without being able to touch you
I feel myself going crazy

This call of nature
Cannot be ignored
I feel you so close to me
Even though you aren't here!

This heart of mine, simmering and bubbling like a rich ragù,
Teases you and says to you:
"Touch me, feel this fire,
Light these flames in me and do not forget me"

Tell me that you love me so much
And that you want to touch me
So that I can fall asleep peacefully
With the thought of kissing you
